School Transport

All of our pupils at Seadown have an EHCP. Many are eligible for free transport (taxi) to/from school by the local authority they are placed at Seadown with. Some routes will also include a PA (Passenger Assistant).

Criteria for free school transport :

  • 2 or more miles away for a child under 8

  • 3 or more miles away for a child aged 8 and over

The Special Education Needs Assessment Team (SENAT) will inform the Transport Team that your child is eligible for assistance to get to school. The Transport Team should then contact you within 15 working days with details.
