Class Information
Our School Council Reps worked with their classes to decide our class names which were introduced from September 2025, following the classroom refurbishments.
We currently have 4 classes at Seadown School (this will expand to 5 classes from January 2027):
-
Puffer Fish Class: Lower primary -
Seahorse Class: Upper primary -
Hammerhead Class: Lower secondary -
Piranha Class: Upper secondary
Our classes generally have 6-9 pupils within them and a teacher and TA are linked to each class. Pupils are organised within classes on a number of different aspects including age, SEN, academic ability and social and emotional development.
There may at times be an additional staff member in a class supporting a particular pupil. We have a Pastoral member of staff linked to lower school classes and a Pastoral member of staff linked to our upper school classes. They work both within a class and outside the classroom for our interventions.
We operate a primary model of teaching and learning where the class teacher leads all curriculum areas within their class. Pupils have access to a wide variety of interventions, both onsite and offsite alongside our curriculum enrichment offer.
